The main component of silkworm cocoons is the protein Sericin which is easily absorbed by the skin.

• It stimulates the cell proliferation, it is responsible for the glow, elasticity and firmness of the skin.
• It actually acts like glue and binds the collagen fibers together, giving the skin a firm appearance.

Silk cocoons also contain Silk Fibroin which helps wounds to heal, as it is considered a beta-keratin related to the proteins that create hair, skin, nails and connective tissues.

• Silk fibers are completely natural and contain absolutely no chemical components.
• They retain all their valuable primary components such as silk proteins and amino acids (silk amino acids).
• Silk proteins have a low molecular weight, which allows them to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin.
