Palo Santo, or Holy Stick, (Burseara Graveolens) is a natural wood aromatic incense and has been revered by the Amazonian people for centuries. The Incas and indigenous people of the Andes used it as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing, as well as for medicinal purposes.
Its heady sweet smoke has a beautiful mint and citrus aroma with underlying notes of pine and frankincense. 

Palo Santo can also be used to clean and recharge crystals, to invite creativity or joy into your life, to evoke protection, or to bring blessings. It is a wonderful tool add to your meditation or yoga practice.

The myth behind Palo Santo is that healers and shamans of South America believe that a strong spirit resides within the wood and has to be treated with respect, the spirit continues to live in the trunk and braches of the tree long after it has fallen, and when treated properly assists in restoring our physical and energetic wellbeing.

How to use Palo Santo:

Light one stick for roughly 15 seconds and carefully blow out the flame, then let the flame smolder to release the scent. Use a heat resistant shell or bowl to catch the ash and rest your stick.

Do not leave unattended while burning.

Palo Santo can also be used for its raw aroma and does not need to be lit.
